Publication
Cumhuriyet University Journal of Faculty of Theology (CUJFT), is a peer-reviewed acade-mic journal published twice (June 15 and December 15) a year by Cumhuriyet University, Faculty of Theology, Sivas/Turkey.
Focus and Scope
In this journal publishes academic essays that produced in the fields below (Social and Human Sciences/ Religion/Theology/Islam)
Basic Islamic Sciences: Tafsir, Kalam, Hadith, Islamic Law, History of Islamic Sects, Su-fism, Arabic Language and Literature.
Philosophy and Religious Sciences: Philosophy of Islam , Philosophy of Religion, Psychology of Religion, Sociology of Religion, Religious Education, History of Religions, History of Philosophy, Logic.
Islamic History and Arts: History of Islam, History of Islamic Arts, Turkish Islamic Literatu-re, Religious Music.
Peer Review Process
Articles submitted to CUJFT are first reviewed by the Editorial Board in terms of the jour-nal's publishing principles. Those found unsuitable are returned to their authors for revision. Academic objectivity and scientific quality are considered of paramount importance. Submis-sions found suitable are referred to two referees working in relevant fields. The names of the referees are kept confidential and referee reports are archived for five years. If one of the refe-ree reports is positive and the other negative, the article may be forwarded to a third referee for further assessment or alternatively, the Editorial Board may make a final decision based on the nature of the two reports. The authors are responsible for revising their articles in line with the criticism and suggestions made by the referees and the Editorial Board. If they disag-ree with any issues, they may make an objection by providing clearly-stated reasons. Submis-sions which are not accepted for publication are not returned to their authors.
This journal uses double-blind review fulfilled by at least two reviewers. In addition, all artices are checked by means of a program in order to confirm they are not published before and avoid plagiarism
Language of Publication
The language of CUJFT is Turkish as spoken in Turkey. However, each issue may include articles in English or in Arabic as long as the number of these do not exceed one-third of the total number of articles in the issue.
Submissions
Submissions to CUJFT should be original articles evaluating previous studies in the field and should produce new and worthwhile ideas and perspectives.
An article to be published in CUJFT should not have been previously published or accepted for publication elsewhere. Papers presented at a conference or symposium may be accepted for publication if this is clearly indicated.
Authors need to register with the journal prior to submitting or, if already registered, can simply log in and begin the five-step process.

Format
Title of the article: The title should suit the content and express it in the best way, and should be written in bold letters. The title should not consist of more than 10-12 words.
Abstract: The article should include an abstract in Turkish at the beginning. The abstract sho-uld explain the topic clearly and concisely in a minimum of 75 and a maximum of 150 words. The abstract should not include references to sources, figures and charts. Keywords of 5 to 8 words should be placed at the end of the abstract. There should be a single space between the body of the abstract and the keywords. The keywords should be comprehensive and suitable to the content of the article. The English versions of the title, abstract and keywords should be placed at the end of the article.
Body Text: The body of the article should be typed on A4 (29/7x21cm) paper on MS Word in Size 11 Times New Roman font using 1,5 line spacing. Margins of 2,5 cm should be left on all sides and the pages should be numbered. Articles should not exceed 7.000 words inc-luding the abstract and bibliography. Passages that need to be emphasized in the text should not be bold but italicized. Double emphases like using both italics and quotation marks should be avoided.
Section Titles: The article may contain main and sub-titles to enable a smoother flow of in-formation. The main titles should be fully capitalized while the sub-titles should have only their first letters capitalized and should be written in bold characters. The sub-titles should be followed by a colon and the text should continue in the same line following the colon.
